I met David at a C.S. Lewis Institute dinner a few years ago, and just ran across the 38Lemon card he had given me then. We had been assigned to the same table, and had a lovely conversation over dinner about music and spiritual things. His intelligence and passion were contagious! I had visited the website back then, and decided to visit again to see how he was doing - very sad to see that he had passed last year. He was obviously a fighter, but also accepted life, and death, with grace. I know he is in the presence of God.

Taking time on your birthday (and most days) to savor memories of a most valued and much, much missed friendship. Miss you, buddy.

I am so very sorry to hear about David's passing...I was online looking into auras before a focal seizure...my brother was 35 years old in March 2000 when he was diagnosed with a grade II astrocytoma...he is doing well even now, but having an increase in auras and of course 10 years into this fight it has certainly taken a toll on him...but as I'm sure you understand we are grateful for every moment of every day. I can only imagine how devastating this is for you and my thoughts tonight are of you all and David-- as are my prayers.

I just came over this site today, and was hoping to get in touch with David and offer any support to the cause that I could. I didn't see the notice of his passing until 30 minutes into viewing photos, etc... I am almost two months post-op myself; having had a bifrontal craniotomy to remove a tumor. I know his situation all too well. I too heard "inoperable" several times before finding a team willing to "go for it" at MGH. By the Grace of God and blankets of prayer, surgery was a success. I can feel David's attitude in his posts; I'm inspired to continue my walk and maintain my "I win either way" attitude. I'm thankful to be here to be a living example, but I'm termendously affected by those who were promoted to glory all too early. Your family will be in my prayers, and I hope to carry on the attitude he so graciously shared with others.
